A1 Marketing Director Marco Harfmann in the Snowflash Interview
Marco Harfmann is responsible for all advertising activities at A1. In the Snowflash interview, he shares his personal joy of being in the mountains and highlights the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) as a powerful driver for his brand.
As Director of Marketing Communications, Marco Harfmann oversees all A1 campaigns for Austria's leading telecommunications provider. To maintain this top position, A1 has fostered a strong partnership with the Austrian Ski Federation for over 25 years. Far from being outdated, the ideas implemented by Harfmann and his team continue to push boundaries, particularly in preparation for the Ski World Championships in Saalbach in February 2025, where A1 will serve as a main sponsor.
Under the banner "Road to Saalbach," creative initiatives such as the A1 Ski Camp have emerged. For this project, five young individuals with no skiing experience were selected to learn skiing in just one week, with their journey documented on social media. Another innovative project is the A1 Ski Carpet, a mobile ski slope designed to bring skiing to urban spaces and make the sport accessible to newcomers. These activities aim to popularize skiing and make it more appealing to younger audiences.
On a personal level, Marco Harfmann is an avid skier and a devoted fan of Austria’s winter sports destinations. Originally from Mödling, his parents introduced him to skiing at an early age. Today, he continues the tradition, taking his family on skiing holidays at least twice each winter.
