On October 8, 2025, Vienna’s Stadthalle became the meeting place for Austria’s sporting elite. At this year’s Sporthilfe Gala, outstanding athletes were honored and celebrated. In addition to the awards, one program highlight drew particular attention: the Snowsports Academy, together with St. Anton am Arlberg, presented its Rollskipiste, bringing a touch of alpine winter sport to the nation’s capital.

The Rollskipiste – experiencing winter sports up close

With its mobile Rollskipiste, the Snowsports Academy demonstrated how skiing can be showcased even without snow. During the Gala, the setup provided an opportunity to present ski techniques – live, in the elegant setting of the evening event.

The performance combined sport and show in an impressive manner and highlighted the versatility of ski instruction. The contrast between the festive gala atmosphere and the dynamic demonstration made it one of the evening’s memorable highlights.

Collaboration with St. Anton am Arlberg

The presentation was realized in cooperation with St. Anton am Arlberg. This renowned ski resort, like the Snowsports Academy, stands for quality, passion, and innovation in Austrian winter sports. Together, they managed to showcase the fascination of skiing in a new context and make the sport accessible to a broad audience.

Winter sports in a new context

The Rollskipiste offered Gala guests a direct impression of how modern ski training and presentation can be experienced beyond the mountains. It illustrated that skiing can find a place anywhere – regardless of snow, season, or location.
