At the beginning of the new winter season, the instructors of the Snowsports Academy met in Fieberbrunn, hosted by our new hotel partner VAYA Hotels. The stylish VAYA Fieberbrunn provided the perfect setting – modern rooms, excellent cuisine, and a spacious wellness area with mountain views. An ideal environment for exchange, motivation, and team spirit. Beyond organizational topics, the focus was on getting in tune for the upcoming season, sharing experiences, and setting new impulses together.

Movement, Exchange, and Team Spirit

The meeting began with a hike through Fieberbrunn’s autumn landscape. Fresh air, good conversations, and shared experiences provided a great start and encouraged open exchange outside the seminar setting.

The next day, the focus turned to fun and team bonding: during a bowling session, there was plenty of laughter, conversation, and camaraderie. Such activities are an important part of the Academy’s culture – they strengthen connections and foster a sense of community.

Workshop with Mathias Berthold

A central highlight of the meeting was the workshop with Mathias Berthold, former head coach of the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV). Under the title “Coaching, Visions and Goal Setting”, he shared valuable insights into motivation, leadership, and personal development.

Drawing on his vast experience in elite sport, Berthold was able to create practical links between high-performance coaching and the work of ski instructors – a truly inspiring session that resonated with everyone.

Follow-Up in Salzburg – with a Swing of Golf

A follow-up instructor meeting took place in Salzburg, focusing on building connections and exchanging ideas about the work at the Snowsports Academy. The program included discussions about roles, processes, and shared objectives – all aimed at developing a clear understanding of the Academy’s philosophy and daily work.

The day concluded with a special sporting highlight: a round of golf with Golf Pro Florian Hofer, who also works as an instructor with the Snowsports Academy. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants had the chance to test their skills on the course and further strengthen their sense of teamwork.

Conclusion

The instructor meetings in Fieberbrunn and Salzburg were far more than organizational gatherings. They provided the perfect opportunity to align as a team, define goals for the coming season, and strengthen the bond within the Academy.
