The Snowsports Academy has successfully kicked off the 2025 winter season. In recent weeks, the first training courses for ski and snowboard instructors have already taken place. During the current autumn holidays, training at the Kitzsteinhorn continues intensively: a total of 260 participants are taking part in the courses, benefiting from excellent snow conditions and smooth organization.

The Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area offers ideal conditions for the start of the season. Thanks to its early snow coverage, modern lift facilities, and perfectly groomed slopes, practical training can begin as early as autumn. Theoretical and practical sessions are closely linked – covering everything from technical skills and teaching methodology to movement theory and safety training.
New Training Center at VAYA Zell am See
A key highlight of this year’s season launch is the new training center at the VAYA Hotel Zell am See. The modern facility is located directly at the Schmittenhöhe valley station and serves as both accommodation and training venue for several course groups.
VAYA Zell am See impresses with its stunning location right at the foot of the Schmittenhöhe ski area, comfortable rooms, spacious facilities, and excellent cuisine. The friendly atmosphere and close cooperation between the hotel team and the Academy are especially appreciated, ensuring short distances and ideal conditions for an efficient and enjoyable course operation.
Quality and Motivation as Core Values

For many years, the Snowsports Academy has stood for high-quality education in alpine snowsports. The training concept combines professional expertise with practical content and modern didactics. Dedicated instructors guide participants through the program and ensure thorough preparation for their future roles as ski or snowboard instructors.
Beyond technical and methodological excellence, team spirit and community play a central role. The camaraderie within the groups, the exchange among participants, and the shared enthusiasm for winter sports create a motivating and positive learning atmosphere.
Positive Outlook for the Winter Season
With this successful start to the training season, the Snowsports Academy looks forward to the coming weeks and months with optimism. Additional training courses at the Kitzsteinhorn and other locations are already scheduled. The ongoing goal remains to prepare future snowsports instructors in the best possible way and to uphold the high quality standards of Austrian instructor education.
