Snowsports Academy BOSS OPEN 2026: Ischgl and Snowsports Academy Bring Skiing Back to Stuttgart’s Summer

Skiing in June, in the middle of Stuttgart, right next to world-class tennis: In 2026, the Snowsports Academy was once again represented at the BOSS OPEN at TC Weissenhof as a partner of Ischgl, bringing the SkiMachine back to the event. What had already attracted a great deal of attention the previous year was developed even further this year.

Skiing in June, in the middle of Stuttgart: At the BOSS OPEN 2026, the Snowsports Academy and Ischgl made winter sports directly tangible with the SkiMachine.

Ischgl is a Premium Partner of the BOSS OPEN and once again used the international tennis tournament as a high-quality stage to make winter sports visible and tangible even in summer. Together with the Snowsports Academy, this presence became directly accessible to visitors through the SkiMachine.

Even More Integrated: The SkiMachine at the Activity Court

One major difference compared to 2025 was the significantly improved location. This year, the SkiMachine was positioned at the Activity Court, close to the Center Court and therefore right in the middle of the area where numerous interactive stations, activations, and visitor areas came together.

The improved location at the Activity Court gave the Portable SkiMachine more visibility, a stronger setup and a better visitor experience.

This position made a noticeable difference. The SkiMachine was not placed somewhere on the edge of the venue, but was directly integrated into the heart of the event. Visitors naturally passed by, stopped, watched other guests making their first attempts, and often decided spontaneously to step onto the skis themselves.

Especially on the busiest days, during the weekends, and in the afternoon, the stand was consistently well attended. Within the Activity Court, the SkiMachine was clearly one of the most eye-catching areas — not only because of the size of the stand, but also because of the movement, the music, the people, and the immediate attention this created.

Skiing in Summer: An Experience That Stays with You

The special appeal of the SkiMachine lies in the contrast. While international tennis was being played at the highest level on the grass court just a few metres away, visitors were able to try ski turns in the middle of June. This exact moment repeatedly led to surprised reactions: skiing in summer, in the middle of Stuttgart, at the BOSS OPEN.

Many children took the opportunity to try the SkiMachine. Numerous beginners also stood on skis for the first time or returned to skiing after a long break. It was particularly exciting to see how quickly some participants progressed. After a short introduction, some were already able to make their first turns.

As a result, the SkiMachine became more than just an attraction again in 2026. It provided direct access to skiing. Not theoretically, not through images or videos, but through real movement and immediate experience.

Snowsports Academy and Ischgl: A Reliable Partnership

At the centre of the appearance in 2026 was once again the strong collaboration between Ischgl and the Snowsports Academy. As a Premium Partner of the BOSS OPEN, Ischgl relied on an activation that made winter sports immediately tangible in a summer event setting. The Snowsports Academy was on site as a partner of Ischgl and was responsible for supervising the SkiMachine, ensuring a professional process, and delivering the technical implementation at the stand.

This collaboration shows what is possible when an internationally renowned winter sports brand and an experienced snow sports partner appear together. Ischgl brings visibility, brand strength, and a clear position in winter sports. The Snowsports Academy brings technical know-how, staff, experience in teaching skiing, and operational expertise in implementation. This is exactly where the strength of the Snowsports Academy lies: bringing skiing to people in a professional, safe, and accessible way.

BOSS OPEN, Ischgl Trophy, and the Connection Between Tennis and Winter Sports

The Ischgl Trophy, which will be held for the second time this year, also played an important role in this context. As part of the BOSS OPEN, another press conference took place to announce this year’s Ischgl Trophy, which will be held in Ischgl from 2 to 5 December 2026.

Among those present were Tommy Haas, Edwin Weindorfer, CEO of the e|motion Group, Tobias Bosch, Tournament Director of the BOSS OPEN, Alexander von der Thannen, Chairman of the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourism Association, and Günther Zangerl, CEO of Silvretta Seilbahn AG.

This made one thing clear: the connection between Stuttgart, the BOSS OPEN, and Ischgl is not a single event moment, but part of a long-term collaboration. The Snowsports Academy’s SkiMachine was a visible and tangible part of this connection.

An Appearance That Builds on 2025 and Clearly Continues in 2026

For Ischgl, the BOSS OPEN 2026 meant a strong presence in a high-quality sporting environment. And for the Snowsports Academy, it was another example of how skiing can be presented professionally and approachably outside the traditional winter season.
